09/15/2016 Trout Unlimited Branson meeting

Last night, 9/15/2016, the Trout Unlimited Branson Chapter held a meeting at the Shepherd of the Hills Visitor Center to discuss electing new officers. 22 people were present including Phil Lilly of Lilly’s Landing in Branson. Phil is the current chapter president and he called for the nomination of officers and a Board of Directors. Nominations were placed and the vote to approve the nominees will be on 10/13/2016 at 7 pm in the same location.
Shane Bush, MDC fisheries biologist, presented their findings of the Lake Taneycomo annual survey they did last month. Clint Hale, hatchery manager, was on hand to answer any questions about the hatchery and prospective water quality issues (or lack of) for the coming fall season.

Trout Unlimited is a conservation service organization dedicated to clean water and healthy trout fisheries. The local chapter has a Facebook page if you want to access it to learn more about it. It is a worthwhile organization.
