In Pat Dorsey’s book, “Tying and Fishing Tailwater Flies”, he introduced us to the Nuclear Egg. A few members are using Dorsey’s Top Secret Midge and this egg pattern is used to tie on the Top Secret midge. When using the white egg foam, making it thinner and see through is what you want to accomplish. After tying a dozen, I made a few changes to his pattern that I am going to try. If you want to see my Nuclear Egg Variation, look on our other fly tying recipes.
