Dorsey’s Mercury Blood Midge is a great fly. The glass bead head represents an air bubble. The best way to fish this fly is to Dead drift with a strike indicator. Suggest that you tie a dropper fly off this midge like Dorsey’s Top Secret Midge.

- Bead: Killer Caddis Class Bead Diamond – MGS, SM (the glass bead represents an air bubble)
- Head: Back Thread (I use a Black Sharpie to color the red thread black instead of changing threads)
- Ribbing: Small Gold Wire
- Thorax: Peacock Herl
